What is a workshop?? From the City of Des Moines Website

City of Des Moines - Mayor and City Council Council Workshops

Each year the City Council holds a series of workshop meetings to address policy issues and to develop the City's Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program. The workshops are designated to allow informal discussion among the Council, so official votes are not taken. The public is welcome to attend and comment at these meetings.

Materials and audio recordings from Council Workshops are available in the City Clerk's Office, City Hall, 400 Robert D Ray Drive, or by calling (515) 283-4209. All meetings are subject to change. Please contact the City Clerk's Office for updates.
