We strongly believe that to succeed we must incorporate people from all neighborhoods within the city of DSM. It is our plan to present our program to each neighborhood association and to have them join us in making the city of Des Moines a national model city. We are currently working on this presentation, we will then train volunteers from our group to present this to these associations. Not only will this involve all citizens it will provide us with an excellent opportunity to educate all people on responsible dog ownership, that is exciting!
Below is the link to the city neighborhood associations, let us know which association involves where you live!

Shallee Keenan is the Program Coordinator in the Des Moines Neighborhood Resource Office and an obvious lover of dogs. After speaking with Shallee Keenan she offered to put an article in their online newsletter about our organization and our desire to involve the citizens of Des Moines through the Neighborhood Associations. It has become apparent that we must push for a re-writing of the current ordinances involving dogs, this is only possible with strong public support. Thank you Shallee for offering to publish our article.
This is the complete article sent to Shallee, if you are unable to see the pdf file click on the icon in the upper right corner and it will open in a separate page.
